Newborn Session Details
Newborns are my favourite to photograph. There is something so special about this time in a families life. These little babies have yet to tell us what they will grow up to be. Yet somehow you can almost see it in those first few days.
The best age to photograph a newborn is between 5 and 10 days old. A typical session may last 2-3 hours and will includes as many sleeping baby setups that the little one will allow us to do in the time permitted and some family photos. Each baby is unique, and I take my queues from them, some are happy to be naked while others love to be bundled up in one of my beautiful wraps.
My studio is overflowing with a variety of backdrops and props so we are able to customize your session. You are also encouraged bring special personal items. Sometimes grandma has made a special blanket, or you have kept an item from you childhood that you want to incorporate. I'm more than happy to do this.
I book a limited number of newborns each month to ensure I have time to get you in and get your images back to you in a timely fashion. It's best to contact me in your second trimester so I can pencil you in prior to the birth of your baby. Newborn sessions take in my professional and cozy studio in the Westhills area of Langford.

Newborn Session $525+tax
The Classic Newborn Session last between 2-3 hours. We capture images of your family and then focus on the newest little one. I always like to include older siblings as well so this gives us the time we need to capture photos of just the kids.
