(A few weeks late in posting this - sorry!)
Thank you to all of those who came out to have their little ones photographed for my annual Valentine's fundraiser. This year I choose the non-profit organization Fertile Future. I chose them because my husband and I struggled for over 10 years to grow our family. Through the years we have done 4 IUI's, 3 IVF cycles, surgery, 13 rounds of clomid, have suffered 3 miscarriages and transferred 9 embryos. Through all of this we are so lucky to have our beautiful daughter who is our little medical miracle.
Fertile Future aspires to ensure every young Canadian diagnosed with cancer will have the opportunity and means to have a child. I know how hard infertility can be on a couple. The years of heartache and financial burden. I can't even imagine being told I have cancer before I even had the chance to have children. This organization helps preserve a persons fertility so once they kick cancer's butt they can still have the chance to have a family of their own.
I am happy to say we raised $700 this year! Thank you everyone.
